TAMPA (Bay News 9) — InBev, the new Belgian owner of Anheuser-Busch Cos., announced Monday that it will end the long standing tradition of giving out free beer at company-owned theme parks across the country.

For years patrons at SeaWorld Orlando and at Busch Gardens Africa in Tampa have enjoyed having free samples of the various types of beers offered by the company.

According to our partners at The St. Petersburg Times, the hospitality house at Busch Gardens Africa will close Jan. 25. When it re-opens it will offer a new cafe-style menu.

InBev said in a news release that the move is designed to increase the parks’ appeal to various age groups.
